Bless The Mic is a platform for untapped local and international musical artists to showcase their talents in Ghana. From the beginning weekly small scale open-mic nights were organized in bars and pubs across Accra allowing young poets and hip hop artists to rhyme and battle, but since 2008, Bless The Mic has graduated to big concert events. This aim was to introduce untapped and established artist to experience performing with a live band. "Bless The Mic” launched the careers of many of Ghana’s now leading musicians including Sarkodie, Guru, Wanlov, EL, Efya, M.anifest, D-Black, Macho Rapper, Mutombo, Crystal Tetteh, Trigmatic, Stonebwoy and many others still on the rise.

PapaYaw Addo-Boateng is maybe best known as PY the co-host of “The One Show” Viasat1 a popular presenter at events or executive producing events such as “Miss Universe Ghana”, but he is also the founder of Bless the Mic and
the director of BTM FEST 2013:

-        We started small, now we do large scale concerts. I am excited how far the concept has taken us and humbled by the quality of artists coming out of Bless The Mic.

-        Doing the charity basketball game is an old dream of mine, I played basketball as a teen at CYCC and want to give back. Proceeds go to the awesome youth organization DUNK! Developing Unity, Nurturing Knowledge (www.dunkgrassroots.org), teaching kids to be agents of change in their communities.
