A comely little place – there are only eight rooms – where relaxation is fiercely enforced: no email, no internet, nothing to shatter the calm that wafts through the hotel, kitted out in antique furniture and handmade carpets. Rooms are spacious by the cramped city standards and one even has its own terrace. Choose between a soporific garden or soothing canal view. Lack of a breakfast room means, dammit, that breakfast in bed is compulsory!
