A holy trinity of hotel, restaurant and nightclub in a former Catholic orphanage, Arena's only downside is that it's a bit out of the way - though trams whizz you in to the centre in ten minutes and it's a nice walk in to town through an utterly untouristy area. It's the ideal hotel for lazy young scenesters who are after a one-stop-shop of food, booze and boogie. However, standard and large rooms are a bit boring from an aesthetic point of view. The extra-large ones and suites, kitted out by leading local designers, look great but come with matching price tags.
