Amsterdam is famous for its diamond trade, something it owes largely to the Jewish population originally settling in around the Jodenbuurt area. The city's sparkler shops are as much a tourist attractions as they are retail outlets.

Even though one would thank he Jews for the diamond trade business around the area ... Gassan is of Arab origin :)
