The old Ketelhuis used to be of little interest to non-Dutch-speaking film fans (it once specialised in unsubtitled homegrown movies), but this new and improved version now screens interesting international art films alongside Holland's finest flicks. The revival of the Westergas area and new blood in the form of regular festivals hasn't hurt its popularity among cinematically-minded Amsterdammers.
