Set in a large park, the Artis Royal Zoo is the Netherlands' oldest mainland zoo. Along with the usual stalwarts, including a baby elephant called Mumba, Artis has an 'indoor rainforest' full of nocturnal creatures and a 120-year-old aquarium.
