Accommodation in this landmark ranges from the super-deluxe Tower Suite, to rather cramped rooms at the back – where you’ll end up if you’ve booked one of their frequent specials. All have plenty of facilities, including hair trigger minibars (where you pay for anything you touch!) and rooms without baths have invigorating multi-headed showers. Sunday brunch (€33, non-residents welcome) in the listed glass confection of the Winter Garden, is truly indulgent. Step out of the revolving door and you’re bang in the centre of town.
