Bouquets blossom in every corner, guests help themselves to wine beneath the chandeliers of the lounge, and antique furniture is polished to mirrored perfection. All this makes it a classy place to lay down your head (on cotton pillowcases specially imported from New York, of course). The suites, named after writers and composers, are all huge: two so big they outstrip most Amsterdam flats in size. On request your small canine accessory can stay for €25 a night, too.
