One of the strangely few places to stay in the Pijp, this hotel slots into the cheap ’n’ cheery category. The rooms are basic, but the breakfast area/internet lounge is airy, with a view of the garden. No prizes for guessing that cycling is central to the hotel: you can hire a bike for (a very reasonable) €5 a day, or bring your own and park it in the hotel. Staff will be delighted to offer advice on routes and give you maps. But we’re sorry to report that this is another one of those irritating hotels which insist on a three-night-minimum weekend stay.
