The Pas Meprise, a lovely old boat moored on KNSM island, has been restored and turned into a floating hotel, with two large rooms, Orion and Cassiopeia, and a garden, protected by a sliding glass roof from the vagaries of the Dutch climate. It’s an excellent option for group travel, as it sleeps up to eight. However, note that it’s not escaped the tendency of hoteliers here to stipulate how long their guests must stay: the minimum is a lengthy four nights.
