The owner, Marcel, is an artist and his home may perhaps be his greatest work. Not just the art that lines the walls, but the atmosphere of creative exchange that draws visitors here time and again. The downside of this is that you’ll need to book well ahead for one of the four rooms, and if you do stay, the mornings will see you stumbling blearily out to neighbouring cafés, since breakfast is not included in the price – but the previous night’s conversation will probably more than compensate.
