While Jamie Oliver has only found one gap in his hectic TV and cooking schedule to visit the Amsterdam outpost of his culinary empire, yet this franchise of sorts – complete with TV show that documented the transformation of challenged street kids into a well-oiled kitchen brigade – is inspired by his love for dishes honest and fresh. The beautiful and massive waterfront location is marred by the bogus graffiti and the fact that there’s only one set menu. We think it’s downright cheeky having a premium rate number as the only telephone contact.
