This beautiful circus theatre was originally opened in the late 19th century and boasts a rich history. Recently refurbished, it reopened in the autumn of 2004 with a series of Tom Waits shows that sold out in minutes. Thankfully not everything sells as fast, but pop concerts, musicals and operas in such beautiful surroundings always prove popular. For two weeks in winter it hosts the World Christmas Circus.
