This chain hotel standard has great views over the Amstel river to the front and is well placed to crash after indulging in the fleshpots of Rembrandtplein behind, but it's beginning to look a bit tired and stuck in the 1980s. It's suited to work and long stays, though - there's a business floor, apartments and studios - and disabled travellers are well served with adapted rooms. Café Flo, the on-site restaurant, is highly rated among local gastros.

WATCH OUT In this hotel they try to cheat on you!! We've had a nice stay in ADAM where we wanted to enjoy the liberty of Netherland. We've quickly seen that it's a non-smoking hotel so we decided to roll joints inside an smoke it outside. When we quecked out they want to charge us because: "u smoked in the room". They really wanted to charge us for rolling inside. I don't know if all hotel now try this out I sure hope not NEVER VISIT THIS HOTEL
