The most authentic Thai place in town. No doubt because of that, it's also the most crowded, but nevertheless it's worth waiting for, whether you drop by to pick up a pot of tom yam soup or go for a full-blown meal. If you plan to linger, settle into the restaurant across the street.

Best restaurant ever! We ate there several times this summer. Thaise Snackbird Bar is the best - excellent authentic Thai food on a budget. There's plenty to choose from. We preferred sitting outside as it was cooler. We also tried the sister restaurant across when Snackbird was really busy - food was great as well but bill came to slightly more.
The 'restaurant across the street' they speak of is definitely worth going to! It is really authentic and the service is great. The portions are huge and unlike many Dutch restaurants, it's okay to ask for a doggy bag. The food is absolutely amazing, and for vegetarians there are more than enough options as well. If you go before six there is usually not too much of a wait, but between 6.30pm and 8.00pm you most likely will. It is absolutely and completely worth it though. When eating there, you will notice that it is crowded with both tourists and a lot of locals, which is in itself a good sign of food service and food. The Snackbar is also doable, but only if you're in a hurry or on a budget. The restaurant is really worth spending an extra dime on (and it's still cheap. I always order Pad Thai with Tofu and Jasmin Tea and am out 14.50 excl. tip). It's just an all around great restaurant and definitely worth going to for dinner!
