This fabulous bonbonnerie and tearoom - with an 18th-century interior imported from Antwerp - is likely to bring out the little old lady in anyone. A relatively new branch (Kerkstraat 148, Southern Canal Belt, 9am-6pm daily) also sports a decent tearoom serving sublime designer sandwiches.

My husband, some friends and myself spent a few days in Amsterdam 17-19 December 2010 and I bought my husband a box of your truffles 'plain chocolate ones' and was dissapointed when my husband stated that quite a few of them were a bit off, which was such a let down on Christmas day, as Truffles are his favourite. However thought I would point this out to you, so you could review the matter for future customers.
