Nang Leong Market review 1 Users say 3/5 Rate it

Built in 1899, this food market was renovated in 2006 for safety and sanitation, but much charm remains. In the trading hall stands a Chinese shrine, around the edge shops sell various coconut-based khanom (sweets). The surrounding warren of shophouses painted in cheerful peach serve classic one-dish meals and old-style coffee. It's best for weekday lunch. Bangkok's oldest wooden cinema languishes at the back.
