Named 'Cabbage Patch Palace' after the site where these five teak houses were reassembled in 1952 by Prince and Princess Chumbhot, this delightful museum exhibits artefacts including Khmer Buddha statues, monks' fans, betel nut sets, shells and prehistoric Baan Chiang pottery. Most exquisite is the pond-side Lacquer Pavilion, an Ayutthaya-era library with gold and black lacquer scenes from Buddha scripture, the Ramakien and Thai life. The grounds also contain Marsi Gallery, and the Khon Museum on classical Thai drama.
