This respite from market mayhem is branded a 'Learning Park', with sculptures and playgrounds. The small Rail Hall of Fame houses old locomotives and various vehicles, including London taxis and World War II Japanese patrol cars. Adjacent Suan Rotfai (Railway Park, 0 2537 9221), the old railway golf course, offers bike hire, a good pool, the Butterfly Garden and Insectorium (0 2272 4359-60), scale models of Bangkok landmarks and a Traffic Town where kids can test for a Junior Driving Licence. In more contiguous green space, Queen Sirikit Park hosts the Children's Discovery Museum and a botanical garden.
