Piknic #5: Piknic Electronik Montréal

The Piknic Electronik was born in Montreal, and today some of its biggest champions come to Barcelona to get you dancing to the beats of some of Canada's best DJs. Jump around with The Mole (8.15pm), a Canadian DJ who calls Berlin home these days and whose sets are charged with influences that span decades and from all corners of the globe. Before that, however, Canada's Marc Leclair (aka Akufen) takes his turn (6.30pm). He's already considered a classic, as someone who kicked off the concept of microsampling, which consists of random recordings of small clips from FM radio and using them as a musical element. If that's not enough fiesta for you up on Montjuïc, from 10.30pm you can carry on at La [2] de Apolo with Marques Hawke, Nathan Burns, Maus and Shelby Grey.
