The four Arena clubs are still packing them in every week with a huge variety of punters. The USP is that you pay once, get your hand stamped and can then switch between all four clubs. Madre is the biggest and most full-on, with thumping house and a darkroom; there are shows and strippers at the beginning of the week, but Wednesday's semi-riotous foam party is where it's really at. VIP (Gran Via de les Corts Catalane) doesn't take itself too seriously and is popular with just about everyone, from mixed gangs of Erasmus students to parties of thirtysomethings down from Sabadell, all getting busy to Snoop Dogg and vintage Mariah Carey. Classic is similarly mixed, if even cheesier, playing mostly handbag, and, finally, Dandy bangs away with vintage chart hits.
