With four shops in Barcelona, this mother and son team have succeeded in strengthening their respective brands. Lurdes Bergada is targeted at women and Syngman Cucala at men, but both have a taste for unstructured pieces, simple colour palettes and casual styles. Their space in the Born, minimalist and refined, is reminiscent of their designs. In Syngman’s case, the silhouettes of his shirts, jackets, trousers and shorts show traces of his Asian heritage. He enjoys taking risks and it shows in his work.
