Joe Lamb (Joel Courtney) lost his mother in an accident and lives with his policeman fater. One summer, while Joe's making a Super 8 zombie film with his pals, he sees a truck crash into a freight train, causing it to derail and ending in a terrible accident. Since then, strange and inexplicable things begin to happen in the village.
