Inspired by the success of 'E.T.', John Badham ('Saturday Night Fever') directed this comedy starring a robot programmed for war. Thanks to a short circuit, the robot ends up with his own life and, with the help of a girl (Brat Packer Ally Sheedy), he becomes a sensitive, intelligent and peaceful creature that the military wants to destroy.
