There was a time when the Spanish song form copla perked up Raval evenings and weekends. At Lupita they're looking to get that transgressor spirit back with some of their stars of the stage. A group of long-time rebels, artists who are almost all retirees these days, come out to wow you with what they've been doing for 40-some years: challenge stereotypes with a mixture of copla, rumba, rancheras and comedy. Among the players is Antonio Linares, an 80-year-old quick-change artist extraordinaire.
