Nou Camp – FC Barcelona
Nou Camp, Avda Arístides Maillol, access 9, Les Corts
There hasn’t been a better time to be a Barça fan since the golden Cruyff days of the early 1990s. Barcelona walked the Spanish league in 2005 / 6 and won the European Champions’ League, along the way enhancing their reputation as the team everyone wants to watch. Ronaldinho is hands-down the world’s greatest player, Eto’o is lethal in front of goal and incoming Argentine Leo Messi is the most authentic new Maradona since Maradona himself. Around 4,000 tickets usually go on sale on the day of the game: phone to find out when, and join the queue an hour or so beforehand at the intersection of Travessera de les Corts and Avda Arístides Maillol. If you can’t get to the stadium on matchday but love the team, it’s well worth visiting the club museum. A guided tour of the stadium will take you through the players’ tunnel to the dugouts and up to the President’s box.
