This park was created from a quarry in 1987 by Josep Matorell and David Mackay, the team that went on to design the Vila Olímpica. It boasts a sizeable swimming pool, complete with its own ‘desert island’, and an interesting sculpture by Eduardo Chillida: called In Praise of Water, it consists of a 50-ton lump of curly granite that’s suspended on cables.
