The only frills at Pensión Francia are on the bedspreads: many of the 18 simple, spotless rooms are very small, particularly the singles. Some have a shower, sink and toilet; others have one or more of these facilities outside the room. On the plus side, staff are amiable and the location, just off a lively square, is excellent. Rooms are spread over two upper floors; there’s no lift.
