Clean, friendly and, above all, cheap, La Terrassa is a typical backpackers’ joint; it’s also the top choice, it would appear, for travelling skateboarders. There’s no air-conditioning, but all the rooms have fans. It’s child-friendly, and there’s a scruffy terrace at the back of the building, which is perfect for soaking up the sun while making new friends over a refreshing beer.
