Fundació Francisco Godia
C/València 284 pral
Godia’s first love was motor-racing: he was a Formula 1 driver for Maserati in the 1950s. His second, though, was art, which is how this private museum has come to house an interesting selection of medieval religious art, historic Spanish ceramics and modern painting. Highlights include Alejo de Vahía’s medieval Pietà and a baroque masterpiece by Lucio Giordano, along with some outstanding Romanesque sculptures, and 19th-century oil paintings by Joaquín Sorolla and Ramon Casas. The modern collection has works by Miró, Julio González, Tàpies and Manolo Hugué.
