Dry Martini

C/Aribau 162-166

A shrine to the eponymous cocktail, honoured in Martini-related artwork and served in a hundred forms. All the trappings of a traditional cocktail bar are here – bow-tied staff, leather banquettes, drinking antiques and wooden cabinets displaying a century’s worth of bottles – but the stuffiness is absent: music owes more to trip hop than middle-aged crowd-pleasers, and the barmen welcome all comers.

This place is ant-american and has awfully aggressive bouncers. My husband was leaving the place (drunk) and the bouncer decided to beat him up. He was too drunk to defend himself. Aren't bouncers supposed to avoid conflict Posted on Jun 14 2008 15:44

Interesting place, though v smoky, but a shame like so many Barc cocktail bars they have no cocktail list to explore and pick from. They all assume you know what you want, which limits the experience, I'd say. Posted on Aug 29 2007 19:07
