The Old Curiosity Shop meets Tate Modern in this former printing house, which is wall-papered with defunct leaflets and pages from old books. The combination of antique furniture with arty mobiles made out of tortured kitchen utensils is as offbeat as the food, which might include such dishes as an all-white ‘monochrome of cod and chickpeas’; turbot with passion fruit and escopinyes (cockles); or a green salad served with a mad scientist’s test-tube rack of 14 aerosol dressings.
