The ethnology museum has recently been renovated and expanded in order to display more pieces from its vast collections of artefacts. The basement storage room has been spruced up and opened to the public, and makes for an enjoyable wander through glass-fronted cabinets, stuffed with all manner of objects from across the world. Of the displays upstairs, most outstanding are the Moroccan, Japanese and Philippine holdings, though there are also some interesting pre-Columbian finds.
