Like a curmudgeonly but beloved old uncle, the more obstreperous La Tomaquera is, the more popular it becomes. It’s bright, it’s loud, its waiters are brusque, there is no booking or telephone, there is only house wine, there are no soft drinks, there is onlygrilled meat with weapons-grade all i oli (unless you count the snails) and no, you can’t pay with Visa. If you don’t like it, you can go elsewhere. Of course, nobody does.
