Resist the suggestion that is no menú, for this is the way to eat here. A zingy little salad is followed by a mountain of prawn and vegetable tempura and a platter of maki rolls, nigiri and a bowl of miso soup. It’s a simple, cosy space, with a reassuring Japanese presence. À la carte, the speciality is edomae (hand-rolled nigiri zushi), but the meat and veg sukiyaki cooked at your table is also good.
