If you’ve never eaten Korean before, it pays to gen up before you head to this bright, spartan restaurant. Panch’an is the ideal starter: four little dishes containing vegetable appetisers, one of which will be tangy kimch’i (fermented cabbage with chilli). Then try mouth-watering pulgogi – beef served sizzling at the table and eaten rolled into lettuce leaves – and maybe pibimbap – rice with vegetables (and occasionally meat) topped with a fried egg.
