Early in the evening it’s a chilled place to slump around on sofas, but even later, when Fred Guzzo’s funk, soul and jazz-driven beats and the doorman’s snotty attitude are cranked up a notch, the youngish mixed tourist/local crowd seems happier rubbing up against each other in the narrow bar than on the dancefloor.
