That the MNAC’s new restaurant is to be considered a serious contender is indicated by the two Antoni Tàpies canvases flanking the stunning view across the city. Dishes run the gamut from scallops on squid ink noodles with lime foam to suckling pig with an onion tarte tatin, or St Peter’s fish poached in a fennel broth. Despite one or two teething troubles (distracted service and a couple of deliquescent foams), your average museum caff this is not.
