A dapper new hotel in a splendid 19th-century building, famously the former Philippine Tobacco Company headquarters. Rooms are subject to Henley Regatta-type colour schemes; one floor is all perky green and white stripes, another is red and white, and so on. The more expensive rooms have generously sized wooden-decked terraces, while some of the suites have private plunge pools. All guests can use the spa, gym and indoor and outdoor pools.

Excellent breakfasts ina room overlooking the Ramblas and spacious reception/lounge area.
Staff could be a little more friendly, but you can't have everything and we'd stay there again. Posted on Apr 17 2008 18:17
