Gimlet

On a quiet night, this subdued little wood-panelled cocktail bar has something of an Edward Hopper feel. The long mahogany counter has been burnished by the same well-clad elbows and patrolled by the same laconic barman for many years, and Gimlet is considered something of a classic, but the measures can be a little too ladylike for modern tastes.
