The chocolate milk drink Cacaolat was invented in this old granja in 1931, and is still on offer, along with strawberry and banana milkshakes, orxata (tiger nut milk) and hot chocolate. It’s an evocative, charming place with century-old fittings and enamel adverts, but the waiters refuse to be hurried. Popular with Catalan families on the way back from picking up the kids, and couples meeting after work.
