An inviting entrance, coloured pillar-box red, is a beacon of cheer on one of Barcelona’s more insalubrious streets. Inside, the three Fernández sisters have created a bright and unpretentious bar-restaurant that specialises in wine and food from their native León. Alongside regional specialities cecina (dried venison), gammon and sausages are lighter, Mediterranean dishes and generous salads; smoked salmon with mustard and dill, pasta filled with wild mushrooms, and sardines with a citrus escabeche.
