Barcelona-Home review 5 Users say 4/5 Rate it

A reputable company staffed by knowledgeable young people, Barcelona-Home aims to sort out accommodation problems and provides other services including guided tours, airport transfers, language courses and whatever else clients might need. Apartment rental prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the level of service, and the website is a great starting point for information on Barcelona.

I have rented an apartment this March with this company! And I was really happy with all! Nice & flexible service (Check-In also possible after office hours, but with an extra fee).
The flat was next to Plaza Espanya and also not far from La Rambla and the beach.. we had the metro station in front of our building! Really comfortable! ;)

Next year I will come back for doing an internship! And I will rent a flat with this company!

I have rented with Barcelona-Home a couple of times and overall I am happy with the experience. I can recommend you to try to check in during the office hours otherwise they'll charge an extra. The apartments are clean and the ones i have rented have all been located in the city center.

I just got back home to Sweden after 6 months in Barcelona. Me and my boyfriend stayed in a flat that we found on Barcelona-Home. We have really nothing to complain about, if there were some issues the landlord usually fixed within a couple of days. We also got the deposit back after 10 days as agreed. We can really recommend it, and if we are going back to Barcelona we will not doubt about staying in the same apartment again. Thank you!

There are soo many agencies in Barcelona that rent out apartments and I really could not choose from the sites if they were good or not, eventually I rented with Barcelona Home and fortunately turned out to be a reliable agency. I stayed for 10 days in Barcelona and got a quit expensive but nice apartment on the plaza universidad. Modern and fully equipped apartment. Too bad we had to check in at the office and not the apartment itself. But overall we had a good experience.

Avoid Barcelona-Home Agency if you do not want to have trouble. They shoud give depidit back within 2 weeks - in case it lasted 40 days after w few monits. They are simply liers. They do not use the telepone numbers they provide.

I have used Barcelona home twice. Once I rented out a private flat, and it was perfect. The next time I rented out a room, and it was a disaster. The ad said stay with Spanish lady and her child, and I thought great, I will practice my Spanish. It turns out that it is a 4 bedroom place, with 5 occupants. I had to share a tiny bathroom with two guys, one of which was over 40. When I went to Barcelona Home and asked them to switch they said "Sorry, you signed a contract." What kills me is that I specifically voiced my concerns before I booked and they reassured me that it would be fine. And they really don't care that it turned out the way it did. When I was explaining my problem the girl gave me a blank look and responded with "I wouldn't mind." I am thinking that the posts above may have been written by people who work for the company...their English is excellent. They can NOT help in perfectly.

This is the email I sent before I booked the room. And yes, I showed it to them when I was complaining. No, they really didn't care that their ad was a lie and that they lied to me.

Quoting Info Barcelona-Home <infobcn@barcelona-home.com>:

Dear Carrie,

to avoid these problems, we have got an age limit. The rooms that we rent
are for people not older then 35. And normally they are in their 20s,
workers are students.

Kind regards,
Sofia

Hi,

My only hesitation with shared apartments is that I don't want to live in
a
strange situation. For example, if the other people renting are all
older
men. Can you tell me which place has younger people, or female renters?

Best,
Carrie

I used Barcelona Home last time I went to barcelona with some friends. We were going to use a hostel but we found out that renting a flat was cheaper per person. Moreover we had more personal space and more privacy than we would ever have had in a hostel.

The services were very good and professional all the way and we had a great stay thanks to this company!

I must say that the main advantage of using Barcelona Home to find a place to stay I the amount of time and effort the staff put into making your stay perfect in Barcelona. The company really does provide for your every need and makes sure that your first few days go smoothly. The offices are easily accessible by taxi, bus, train or even on one of the city's bicycles. If you are thinking of spending time in Barcelona, I definitely advise you to try Barcelona Home and see for yourself!
