16th Banc Sabadell Festival del Mil·lenni: John Mayall

John Mayall is in Barcelona as part of his 80th birthday celebration tour. One of the pioneers of British blues from the late 1960s and a huge fan of Chicago blues, Mayall founded The Bluesbreakers, a band that has featured guitarists such as Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, Peter Green and Mick Taylor. Mayall, master of the blues and a key figure in contemporary music, has released more than 50 albums, many of which have given birth to new patterns in blues and rock, including 'Behind the Iron Curtain', 'Chicago Line' and 'Wake Up Call'.
