Appropriately, given its position opposite MACBA, Pla dels Àngels is a riot of colour and chimera, something that also translates to its menu. The range of salads on offer might include mango, yoghurt and mint oil, or radicchio, serrano ham and roast peppers, followed by a short list of pasta and gnocchi and a couple of meat dishes. The cheap set lunch includes two courses and a glass of wine.
