Most regions of Spain are represented at this deeply traditional restaurant. There is a particular emphasis on Galicia (caldeirada gallega is a hearty fish stew, lacón con grelos is gammon with turnip tops and tarta de Santiago is an almond cake), but the Basque oxtail stew is also tasty. The dining room could use a lick of paint and some subtlety in its lighting; arrive early for the more comfortable leather banquettes at the front, and book ahead at weekends.
