Another nu-trad tapas bar focusing on excellent quality produce. Among the oxtail stews, fried prawns and cod croquettes, however, fans of chef Carles Abellan will also find playful snacks more in keeping with his signature style. The McFoie Burger is an exercise in fast-food heaven, as is the Bikini, a small version of his take on the ham and cheese toastie; his comes with truffle.
To sample Abellan's cooking in more formal surroundings, visit Comerç 24.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and really enjoyed it. Its right in the city centre close to all the shops. I would recommend it if your looking for something tasty, fast and close to everything.
Quite crowded - sometimes you have to wait in a line on the stairs, but not too long. Skip the most traditional tapas like croquetes or patatas (you can find them everywhere) and go for the ones with a modern twist - mc foie burger or daily specials. Drink some wine or choose one of the fresh fruit juices (red melon is amazing).
Great restaurant and right near to the centre. Not too far to travel. If you're looking to meet up with people before you fly then try out find a flight buddy on facebook
We were in Barcelona last week and also went to
Tapac24. We have no idea how anybody can recommend this spot. Cheap plastic tables. The potatoes were lousy french fries with ketchup and mayonaise. Tuna and tomato salad : tuna could only
be identified by a magnifying glas. Very disappointing.
I have a recommendation : Shoko. A beach restaurant near the olympic harbour at paseo maritimo de la Barcelona. www.shoko@shoko.biz
top lunch menue for 14 euro including one drink and coffee. top service and atmospere. Check it out ! Regards Peter Lotze
