Eating well at a reasonable price would be a pipe dream in Barcelona if it weren't for restaurants like Àpat: its lunchtime menu is surprising and scrumptious. The dinner menu brings to the table dishes such as cod steak with sweet apple and traditional chickpea stew.

I had a booking reservation from this restaurant for January 6, howver, when arriving at the restaurant it was closed. Even though I hev not sampled the cooking, I would say that a restaturant handling the logistics this poorly is not worth a visit.

I was disappointed by this restaurant. The food was cooked reasonably well. But the room itself, all grey and black, lacked life and energy. There were only 3-4 other tables occupied (this was between 8:45 - 10.30pm on a Saturday night). It was hard to believe that we were in Barcelona, everything was so quiet. Except for the 80s Bruce Springsteen music blaring from the kitchen (apparently for the benefit of the kitchen itself). Really odd. At the end, the bill was overcharged by 15 Euro, which when challenged, the waiter suspiciously admitted was wrong immediately. Felt like we wasted a night to have a decent meal in Barcelona.
