For another year Ateneu Popular 9 Barris presents their own brand of circus in Barcelona. The Circ d'Hivern, one of the longest ongoing circus shows in the city, is celebrating its 19th edition this year and they're doing it with F.I.R.A. (Fenómenos Inverosímiles Rescatados del Anonimato, or Improbable Phenomena Rescued from Anonymity), a collective creation from Colectivo Tierra that will be marked by live circus performances and music. F.I.R.A. is like a miraculous elixir that will convert the Ateneu into a big top with several attractions – magic mirrors of contortionists that try to mimic their silhouettes, the oldest girl in the world whose hair holds her memories, or an enchangress of notes and hearts who whispers melodies into the ears of the most daring. The series of improbably phenomena rescued from anonymity doesn't include animals, but there are beastly great acts that will get your heart pumping. F.I.R.A. also belongs to the universe of the ephemeral and temporary, living in the moment, and so anything can happen and no two shows are ever the same.
