Barcelona by Bicycle

Meet in Plaça Sant Jaume and then head to the nearby shop for bikes and helmets followed by a three-hour English-speaking tour.

Fat Tire Bike Tours

Tours meet in Plaça Sant Jaume and last over four hours, taking in the Old City, Sagrada Família, Ciutadella park and the beach.

Barcelona Tours

Though more frequent, off-season, than rival Bus Turístic (see below), there are no discounts offered to attractions. It takes around three hours to cover the large tour circuit which includes La Pedrera, Sagrada Família, Park Güell and Nou Camp.

Bus Turístic
93 285 38 32/www.tmb.cat. Tours Apr-Oct 9am-8pm daily; approx every 6-10mins. Nov-Mar 9am-7pm daily; approx every 30mins. Tickets 1 day €20; €12 reductions. 2 days €26; €16 reductions. Free under-4s. Available from tourist office (credit MC, V) or on bus (no credit cards).
Bus Turístic (white and blue, with colourful images of the sights) runs three circular routes. Tickets are valid for all routes and ticket-holders get discount vouchers for a range of attractions.

Bus Turístic de Nit
93 285 38 32/www.tmb.cat. Tours May-Sept 9.30pm (boarding from 9.10pm) Fri-Sun. Tickets €16; €10 reductions. Available from tourist offices or on bus. No credit cards.
The night tour bus (with guided commentary) is designed to show off the illuminations of the city.

Barcelona Walking Tours

Tours take 90mins to 2hrs, excluding the museum trip. All tours start in the underground tourist office in Plaça Catalunya.

Ruta del Modernisme

Not so much a route as a guidebook to 115 Modernista buildings, giving discounts on entry. It’s available at the Plaça Catalunya tourist office (see below), the Hospital Sant Pau and the Pavellons Güell.

Barcelona Scooter Tours

There’s a four-hour tour, a shorter express tour, a tour on a Harley-Davidson and a full-day Shadow of the Wind tour. Note that you must have at least three years’ driving experience. Book 24hrs ahead.
